Mekedatu and chunchy falls

About Mekedatu:

Mekedatu is a lovely picnic spot for a day outing, along Kaveri in Kanakpura Taluk of Ramanagara District. This place is about 90 km from Bangalore. If you are staying in Bangalore and planning .for a trip, this is one of the places to visit.

 Sangam:
Sangam is the place where two rivers Arkavthi and Kaveri merges. It takes around 2.5 hours to reach this place from Bangalore on a two-wheeler. It is best to visit this place in the rainy season when the Kaveri running full of water.
Ride to Sangam on a two-wheeler was quite interesting. You can see a nice view of the running river. In summer water is very less, you can cross the river by walk, but if its monsoon season you have to take coracle ride to cross the river. After crossing the river you can either take the bus or you can walk through the forest along the banks of the river and reach  Mekedatu. While moving towards Mekedatu, you will notice the river is getting narrow. The river runs at this place fiercely and formed very beautiful structures on the rock.

Chunchi Falls:

There is Chunchi falls around 5km before Sangam on the river Arkavathi.  If you are visiting this place in the monsoon season you will find much water, which you would not find most of the year.
